Today, bol.com presents its 2022 Sustainability Report. In this report, we look back on the steps taken in the pillars Logistics & Environment, Store & Assortment and People & Society. Bol.com executives also talk about the importance of these steps and the ambition to continuously advance the platform for a better tomorrow for us all.
Some highlights:
- Bol.com opened the expansion of its bol.com fulfilment center in Waalwijk. This fulfilment center runs on 100 per cent green energy from 13,000 solar panels on the roof and four wind turbines located next to the building.
- 4 million parcels were sent without cardboard packaging.
- Bol.com bollebozen handed out 25,000 Letter Fun Packages to prevent a reading dip by children during the summer holidays.
- 35,000 gifts were donated to thousands of underprivileged families.
- Bol.com repels hateful books with a review framework on discrimination.
- In 2022, bol.com sold twice as many more sustainable products as in 2021.
